Reality or Illusion

Do the mirrors Coraline encounters in the real world and the other world reflect reality or illusion? How do you know? What is the significance of mirrors in Coraline?

The mirrors in the real world and the other world are illusions because in one of the chapters I read in coraline the other mother showed coraline an illusion of her parents not wanting her and coraline coulden't tell if it was true or not but she had to know that herparents loved her.The significance in coraline is that it showed her things and when the other mother locked her behind the mirror it was small and she saw other kids that the other mother took away their soles.
